Asbestos Project
Since May of 1991, Era has been the ongoing Consultant of
Record for the plant wide Asbestos Abatement Project being
conducted at this secured DOE site. Era conducts required
air monitoring in accordance with DOE, OSHA, KCAQ, and Missouri
Department of Natural Resources regulations to ensure the
Abatement Contractor maintains compliance.
EPA
Brownsfields Showcase Minority Worker Training Program
Training conducted through an EPA Grant Since
1998, Era has been partnered with DePaul University in Chicago,
working jointly to conduct environmental training for disadvantaged
minorities. To date, Era has trained approximately 60 students
with 80% of them finding employment.

Lead Paint Dust Exposure Monitoring Conducted
Air Sampling at a former nuclear missile silo site for detection
of lead based paint dust particulates. Worked with Medical
Surveillance contractor to design and implement a “Hazard
Control Program” as part of the overall “Accident Prevention
Plan.”
Kansas
City, MO Health Department Lead Safe 2000 Program
Lead Abatement Project at Scattered Sites
To date, Era has conducted lead abatement and remodeling
of five residential homes, with more contracts pending.
Era removed lead components such as doors, windows, and
enclosed lead components with vinyl over the siding, porch
ceilings, and soffits.
MCC
ConstructionCorp./USACOE, Fort Leavenworth, KS
Lead-Based Paint Removal and Disposal Project
Era supported MCC Construction Corp. in its Lead Based Paint
abatement project at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Our tasks
include: OSHA Lead Safety training for MCC and their subcontractor
staff and Air Monitoring for fugitive lead dust during remedial
action phase of project.

Implementation of Company Wide Health & Safety Program
Following an OSHA compliance audit, Era developed and implemented
a comprehensive safety program for this medium sized construction
company. On-going tasks include: training and monitoring,
site compliance audits/corrective action reviews, HASPS,
and exposure assessments/monitoring.
Kansas
City Missouri Water Department
Inspection and Monitoring of Various Asbestos/Lead
Removal Projects Asbestos/Lead inspections of various
water department facilities throughout the Metro Kansas
City area. Detailed inspection reports are produced; Management
Plans are written and specifications for abatement are designed.
Era also provides air sampling/monitoring, oversight, and
OSHA training for the Water Services Department personnel
and third party contractors on-site during the abatement
phase of the projects.

West, Inc./USACOE, Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant, Desoto,
KS
Sunflower AA Plant; Site 51 Transite Clean-up Project
Summary Era provided oversight inspection of the
packaging and disposal of Asbestos waste contaminated streambed
near the Sunflower Ammunition Plant.
Great
Plains Asbestos Control, Inc./Kansas Army National Guard
Asbestos Abatement Project, Hutchinson Army National
Guard Armory Oversight of large Asbestos remedial
action project that consisted of almost 3,000 square feet
of contaminated surface area (tunnel floors and walls).
This included both removal/disposal and encapsulation of
the affected areas. Era ensured OSHA standards were adhered
to throughout the operation.
